Add skills

Skills are analysis modules that tell Power BI Agent how to perform specific calculations — which formulas to use, which norms to apply, and how to interpret results.

Automatic assignment

You do not need to manually assign standard skills. When you add a dataset and Power BI Agent detects the Power BI Connector data model or a Davista Power BI Template, the matching skills become available for that dataset automatically.

Create custom skills

In addition to standard skills, you can optionally create custom skills for analyses specific to your organization or industry. Available on Plus and Premium plans.

1. Go to Organization > Skills.
2. Click Create skill.
3. Enter a skill name and any keywords.
4. Fill in the skill content with DAX formulas, instructions, and interpretations (use the example template).
5. Click Save.
6. Assign the skill to a dataset via Organization > Datasets > Skills.
