Invite users

Invite team members, assign roles, and manage dataset access.

As the owner, you invite colleagues and decide who has access to which datasets.

Invite a user

  1. Go to Organization > Users.
  2. Click Invite user and enter the email address.
  3. Your colleague receives an invitation email. After accepting, they are immediately a member of the organization.

Each member counts as a user within your subscription. See Set up subscription for limits per plan.

Assign dataset access

After inviting, assign which datasets a user may query. Users only see their own datasets.

  1. Go to Organization > Datasets.
  2. Click the menu on a dataset and choose Users.
  3. Check the users who should have access.
  4. Click Save.

The user must also have a connected Power BI account with access to the dataset.

Remove a user

  1. Go to Organization > Users.
  2. Click the menu next to the user and choose Remove.

The user immediately loses access. The freed seat is available for a new invitation.
